SERVICES

Insurance-Funded Reconstruction

Construction documentation and reconstruction services for qualifying property-damage projects.

Insurance-funded reconstruction involves both a construction project and an insurance claim. KDI may document visible and reasonably accessible property conditions, prepare detailed construction scopes and estimates, provide photographs and supporting records, and identify differences between KDI's proposed construction scope and the insurance carrier's estimate.

When additional construction items, revised quantities, code requirements, manufacturer requirements or other construction-related conditions are identified, KDI may provide supplemental construction documentation concerning the work KDI proposes or is contracted to perform. The property owner remains responsible for communicating with the insurance carrier regarding insurance coverage, claim decisions and settlement matters.

KDI is a licensed general contractor and does not act as a public adjuster, insurance adjuster or attorney. KDI does not interpret insurance policies, determine coverage or negotiate claim settlements on behalf of a policyholder. Coverage decisions, claim approvals and insurance payments are determined solely by the applicable insurance carrier and the terms of the policy. Supplemental funding is not guaranteed.

KDI's responsibility is to evaluate, document, estimate, coordinate and complete the contracted reconstruction work in accordance with applicable building codes, approved plans and specifications, manufacturer installation requirements and generally accepted construction industry standards.

Insurance coverage and claim payments are determined solely by the applicable carrier and policy. KDI does not guarantee coverage, claim approval or supplemental funding. Past results do not guarantee future outcomes.

Services may be performed by KDI personnel where permitted by KDI’s license classification or coordinated through appropriately licensed specialty contractors. Certified technicians may be used where applicable law permits certification in place of a contractor’s license. Service availability depends on project scope, location, permitting requirements and applicable licensing laws.
