KDI Building Developments Inc. was established by three co-founders, two of whom are shown below, who combined their experience in construction operations, project management, manufacturing, business systems and client service to create a more organized, transparent and dependable construction experience.
Today, KDI's leadership team oversees design coordination, preconstruction, permitting, production, project management, custom fabrication and completion through one accountable organization.
Kevin Strickland
Co-Founder | President & Chief Operating OfficerKevin brings more than 30 years of construction experience spanning residential and commercial construction, new construction, design-build delivery, manufactured homes, tiny homes, ADUs and additions. As President and Chief Operating Officer, he provides executive oversight of KDI's construction operations, production standards and field execution.
Kevin also brings extensive experience coordinating permitting and inspection processes with local building departments across Riverside, San Bernardino, Orange, Los Angeles and San Diego counties. He helps ensure that each project is properly coordinated, professionally managed and completed in accordance with KDI's standards for quality, safety and accountability.
Manuel Lastra
Co-Founder | Chief Project Management Officer and Chief Strategy Officer (CPMO & CSO)Manuel brings more than 10 years of hands-on experience in custom countertop fabrication and installation, cabinet fabrication and installation, flooring, finish carpentry and trim work. His background also includes commercial project management and production coordination from manufacturing and material preparation through installation and completion.
His experience includes work associated with airports, banking facilities, restaurants and other commercial environments. At KDI, Manuel leads project coordination, scheduling, material selections, trade management, progress documentation and client communication from preconstruction through completion.
